It’s worth pointing out that the US Attorney Office in Anchorage has stopped prosecuting criminals, and has started working like the old Communist “politiebureau” used to.
The politiebureau was the central government’s outpost in various regions. They were tasked with spying on the locals ferreting out capitalists, Christians, freedom lovers, and any other “traitors” to the powers that be.
They did this by employing a network of snitches, who reported back to the secret police, who were responsible for rounding up the traitors. The process of deciding who was a traitor and who got rounded up was pretty haphazard. Lots of people got rounded up over personal vendettas. Some were just unlucky. But they all ended up in the same place: on trial for vague conspiracies against the government.
The trials were a farce and a show that followed a script written by the communist central committee: “There are enemies amount us. They are hiding and preparing and waiting, until they are strong enough to attack! They could be your neighbor, or your co-worker, or even your own family. But don’t be fooled, they are criminals and we must send them to prison BEFORE they have a chance to act.”
After their show trials, the “traitors” were sent to comunicada prisons where they were re-educated into oblivion and forgotten.
Stalin killed at least 25 million people this way, MURDERED them, really.
And now, in a 6 page opinion dated August 29, 2017, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has green lighted this template for use in America. The case was USA v. Schaeffer Cox. It followed this template exactly.

It can also be said about Hitler’s Germany. In the words of German Protestant pastor Martin Niemoller-

We accept the imprisonment of others. But what is Freedom and Liberty based on?
We accept the idea Socialist are a threat, Unions are a threat and Moslems are a threat.
Some believe patriot militias are a threat.
We accept the behavior of government. Now the only question left will the court system continue to support government’s bad behavior.
Within our governmental structure the people are the final branch of government when the first three fail.
