Someone should point out to JB Patterson, Larry Pratt, Ted Nugent, and others that this ruling from the 9th Circuit gives the green light to authoritarian, extremist procecutors like Skrocki to prosecute guys like JB Patterson. JB’s song, “Shotgun, Rifle, and a .45” is enough to put him in prison under the new principal of law my appeals panel announced. JB’s song says, “I’ve got rounds and rounds in case it all goes down.” The 9th Circuit now says that this is “a conditional conspiracy conditioned on events the defendant subjectively think are likely to occur.”
Think about this: The court threw out all the other accusations but said “Cox is guilty anyway because he had rounds and rounds in case it all goes down.”
Just look at the oral arguments. Mike Anderson said he and I simply talked about how, if the state ever went nuts like Stalin did and became genocidal maniacs, we would be smart to resist. And Skrocki’s argument to that was, “Your honors, when we start the genocide, Mr. Cox is going to be uncooperative. So, he’s guilty of conspiracy against us.” AND THE APPEALS COURT AGREED WITH HIM!!!
You may think its a joke that I’m saying “Shotgun, Rifle, and a .45” lyrics could put JB and the Moonshine Band behind bars, but I’m not joking at all. Skrocki would bring a print out of those lyrics to the jury with a straight face and act like he and the FBI had uncovered a secret. Skrocki brought in my political, pro-2nd Amendment speeches like they were some big crime. And it was laughable, until they gave me 27 years for it. What the hell?!? The whole point of the 2nd Amendment is “rounds and rounds in case it all goes down.” JB Patterson, Larry Pratt, Ted Nugent, and anyone else with an audience who cares about America, free speech, and the 2nd Amendment needs to rally around this case.
Mark my words, you are going to look back on US v Cox and say “that case killed the 2nd Amendment for America. And it did it like a thief in the night.”
To reverse this, we need a coalition of celebrities to use their control of the spotlight to showcase the dangerous absurdity of my case. I’m asking you to please go public with the strongest denouncement of this case you can. It’s unAmerican insanity, and it deserves the ridicule of celebrity role models, like you guys.
Today’s the day. There is no “wait and see.” It’s happened. This is your one and only call to charms. It’s time to get your voice locked and loaded. Are you going to be someone you’d be proud to know? I hope so. It sure beats withering away alone with your scared, pathetic self. If you’ve got even an ounce of hero in your blood, there isn’t even a choice. You know what you’re going to do. So step up, be brave, and speak like an unbroken American man! I’m with you. Let’s save our country from this sneak attack.
