I broke a bone in my foot while working out. Commissary is shut down for the next two weeks for inventory. So I can’t even get an Aspirin. Medical said it could take up to 30 days before they can get to me. By then the bone will be growing back together. So I set it myself with the help of a combat medic who had done a lot of this stuff in Afghanistan. It hurt like hell, but at least it’s not crooked.
I’m sure glad we have universal health care in prison. (eye role) Anyone who thinks the government can give everyone “health care as a human right” is crazy. The only thing the government can give you is a line to stand in. Because even when you get to the front of the line, you find there’s nothing there.
